Larrikin

The Basics

Style - German Kolsch

ABV - 6.04%

Description

Light and Crips ale/lager hybrid with a slightly vinous finish accompanying light apple and pear notes, perfect for drinking on a warm summer day.

The Name

Larrikin is Aussie slang for a mischievous person, someone uncultivated and rowdy but good hearted. Given the blurring of the lines between an Ale and Lager the name seemed fitting (also the slight increase in ABV).

The Ingredients

Malts

Pilsner, Viena and Acid malts

Hops

Hallertau Mittelfreuh

Beer Facts

Technically for the beer to be considered a kilsche it must be brewed in Cologne, Germany but I 1000% don’t care.

The Pairings

Bratwurst, nutty cheeses, apricots, and light desserts.
