Description

Caramelized sugar notes intermingled with licorice and dark chocolate before giving way to subtle notes of dark fruit that linger on the palate.


The Name

The name Juice is Aussie Slang for “fuel or petrol” and it was chosen in reference to the dark color and rich full body (similar to oil – don’t drink oil)

Malts

Dark Munich, Pilsner, Carabohemian, Melanoiden, and Carafa Special II malts

Hops

Chinook Hop Extract and Willamette hops

Yeast

Saflager S-189 yeast



Beer Facts

While most porters land firmly in the “Ale’ family of beers, Baltic Porters, despite the category name, are actually a lager style of beer. Meaning: it is a smooth, cold fermented and cold lagered beer brewed with lager yeast.  Typically they have a an alcohol content well in excess of 7.5% ABV and feature very low to low complex alcohol flavors along with a lager fruitiness.
