Big Sexy
The Basics
Style - Imperial Stout
ABV - 9.6%
Description
Bold, rich, and complex with notes of smooth chocolate, molasses, and dark roasted coffee alongside subtle notes of dried fruits with a pleasant warmness from the alcohol. Collab with Uncommon Path Brewing of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
tHE NAME
In addition to being a collab with Uncommon Path Brewing out of Fort Lauderdale, FL this beer was a special request for Gerard of the Siege for his wedding. He wanted a big, bold stout and we were happy to oblige. The other reason for the name, bringing in Australia is a bit of a stretch but here we go: Australian cockatiels are prominent, typically favoring bushlands. They are also common pets (for people that keep birds… weird). In the Hulu show “Shoresy” the main character has a pet cockatiel named Big Sexy. Moving on.
BEER FACT
As with all things involving people, there is some controversy surrounding the origin of Imperial stouts/beers. What it means to be an Imperial beer today is generally a higher strength beer that is more readily consumed (easier drinking) beer styles.
