Rye Baby

The Basics

Style - Autumn Ale

ABV - 6.7%

Description

Malt forward and easy drinking with subtle spice character from flaked rye, accented by delicate toffee and caramel notes.

tHE NAME

Referencing the small amount of flaked rye we used in brewing this beer and kind of a tongue in cheek naming as a dispoportionate amount of people think they don’t like rye in their beer (so they’re the baby. Get it?)

BEER FACT

Amber ales, while less popular in recent years (or maybe just Miami) are viewed as a cornerstone of the American Craft beer movement and traditionally lean more towards a balance between the hop and malt contributions.

The Ingredients

  • Malts: Pale Malt, Kilned Caramel 47, Flaked Rye, and Dextrin

  • Hops: Warrior

The Pairings

Cheddar, barbeque, banana pudding; at the end of the day it is a very versatile beer to pair food with.
