Perth Station
The Basics
Style - American Wheat
ABV - 5.3%
Description
A refreshing American wheat beer with a soft, smooth body, subtle grainy sweetness, and a crisp finish perfect for any occasion.
tHE NAME
In Aussie slang farms are referred to as stations and the city designation (Perth) was chosen because Western Australia produces the most wheat of any other growing region in Australia, and Perth is likely the most recognized city name on the West Coast of Australia for us non-Aussies.
BEER FACT
Similar to a German hefeweizen these beers are typically served unfiltered and the malt bill (grain used to make the beer=malt bill) is composed of at least 30% malted wheat. Traditionally hoppier than its German counterpart and another point of differentiation is that American Wheat beers do not have flavors of banana and clove.
